Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Literary and Visual Arts Contest

Arlington Public Schools students are invited to take part in the annual “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Literary and Visual Arts Contest.” Entries are due by 5 p.m. Fri, Dec. 20.This year’s Literary and Visual Arts Contest is an opportunity for students to explore what Dr. King spoke about in his “I Have a Dream” speech and relate it to a dream for your community.Topic:Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke about his dream for what the world should be like. His dream was to have a fair and peaceful world where everyone is equal to one another. On August 28, 1963, Dr. King shared his dream in the famous “I Have a Dream” speech. In his speech Dr. King pleads with his audience to fight violence and hatred with peace and love.
